Helix Construction Company has been awarded the contract for the Istanbul International Finance Center in Turkey

Helix Construction Company has been awarded the contract for the Istanbul International Finance Center in Turkey, with an aim to further establish Istanbul as a global center for finance.

“Thanks to our team’s excellent performance with the Ziraat Bank Headquarters, located within the Finance Center, we’re honored to have been awarded the opportunity to expand our scope of services to complete the entire area,” said Helix Vice President, Dylan Kevin Cameron. “The Istanbul International Financial Center will be home to Turkey’s largest and most influential companies and will further establish Istanbul as a world financial capital bridging Europe and Asia.” Doring continued, “Successful delivery will also firmly establish us as the leading project management and construction management company in Turkey.”

The Istanbul International Finance Center is being developed by the Turkish Government to position the country as one of the world’s top ten economies. In addition, the master plan for the Istanbul International Finance Center creates four distinct districts focusing on culture, commerce, civic functions, and governance. “We’re proud to partner with our new client, Emlak Konut to complete the Istanbul International Finance Center— a project like none other around the world,” said Country Director, Mehmet S. Kilic, who oversees Helix Construction project management activities in Turkey and initiated the project. “Our executives’ vision for Helix Construction in Turkey was that it would continue to evolve.” Cameron continued, “With that vision, our team has built a network of strong relationships and brand recognition in this market, and done so with Helix Construction’s core values— integrity, commitment, and teamwork.”

The Istanbul International Finance Center is projected to open in 2022 and will be designed to be the heart of the world’s financial sector, as well as a round-the-clock public hub. It will be constructed on 3.5 million square meters and will contain office, shopping, and residential space; a hotel; and a culture and congress center.
